AusBiotech is Australia's biotechnology industry organisation working on behalf of over 3,000 members in the areas of human health, medical devices, food technology, agriculture, environmental and industrial biotechnology, for more than 25 years.
AusEvents is the events management division of AusBiotech Ltd, launched to provide more value for its members.
This conference, held annually is to inform and update the biotechnology sector with current industry facts and knowledge. It provides key presentations and forums to help bring together representatives and professionals from across the biotechnology industry and the globe to experience a comprehensive conference program, extensive bio-industry exhibition, business matching program and associated events such as the AusFoodtech Symposium.

This conference runs officially from Wednesday 30 October 2013 - Friday 1 November 2013.
All conference sessions are held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (also referred to as BCEC).
The conference dinner will be held in the Plaza Terrace Room at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. Conference Registrations do not include the Conference Dinner. Dinner tickets can be purchased during the registration process or after at a seperate time by contacting Registrations Department. The Dinner is $185.

Opportunity to attend the AusBiotech Student Excellence Awards National Finals Judging to hear the students' research works, full access to the BioIndustry Exhibition Hall and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas are included in the registration fee as per program schedule. Social events on Wednesday 30 October 2013 and Friday 1 November 2013 are included. Daily conference sessions with informative and entertaining speakers.
Full conference registrations include access to the Business Matching Program and must be selected during the registration process.
During the conference days, business attire is preferred. The minimum dress standard for the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner is business attire or cocktail.

Delegates must have registered and paid the required registration fees before requesting an official letter of invitation. All requests should be sent by email to the Registrations Department on events@ausbiotech.org. Please note that AusBiotech 2013 national conference will not be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a delegate.
No, but we would encourage you to become a member. If you should join AusBiotech within 30 days of the conference, the difference in registration fees will be refunded to you - after the conference is concluded. (This offer is valid for AusBiotech 2013 conference delegate fees only and does not apply retrospectively to sponsorship or exhibition packages). Early bird registration closes at midnight on 30 June 2013, after which time the standard rate will apply.
Whilst we do prefer registrations to be in prior to Friday 25 October 2013, you can register on the day of the conference at the Registration Desk, onsite at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to AusBiotech at events@ausbiotech.org
1. Cancellations made before Friday 30 June 2013 will receive a refund, less a $250 administration fee.
2. Cancellations made after 30 June 2013, will not receive a refund.
3. No refunds will be issued until after the conference.
4. Substituting names will be accepted only prior to the conference. Registration is valid for the named attendee only. Transferring of registration during the conference is prohibited and security personnel will be checking every registration on entry/exhit to the venue. Substituting a delegate from the same organisation is welcome as long as AusBiotech is notified by email events@ausbiotech.org by Wednesday 16 October 2013.
